Answer: A resale certificate is a real estate form that should be made available to a buyer prior to closing on a property.
What is included with the resale certificate? The resale certificate, all governing documents including revisions or amendments, proof of insurance, the Association’s current annual budget and a current balance sheet.
Who should request the resale certificate? Title company, Realtor or seller
How do you request a resale certificate? The requestor (usually the title agent or Realtor) calls (512-288-2376) or faxes CAM (512-288-2389) and provides the necessary closing information.
How much does the resale certificate cost? The certificate is $150 which is payable upon pick up of the resale certificate package.
Are there any other fees associated with selling my home that are payable to the management company? A transfer fee of $100 is also due.
How long does it take for a resale certificate to be prepared? It takes three business days for the resale certificate to be available for pick up. A rush fee of $100 is charged to have it ready sooner than three business days.
